It’s time to fix the ticket issues for Disney’s upcoming live-action Star Wars movie.
In the wake of an online campaign calling for tickets to go on sale at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to celebrate the movie’s premiere, the company has announced it will be removing its online sale for the upcoming film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Instead, Disney will be releasing tickets on the company’s website on December 13, and Disney’s Ticketmaster will be the vendor for the new online sale, which will start at 8 a.m.
ET on December 16.
In addition, Disney is removing its DisneyPass ticket purchase program for Star Wars.
Tickets will be available for purchase online starting on December 14 and can be purchased at Disney Parks, Disney California Adventure, Disney’s California Adventure Resort and Disney California Museum locations.
Disney is also changing its online purchase for Star War tickets from the Disney Parks app to a new Ticketmaster website.
Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster can be redeemed at the Disney Store or Disney Shop, and online tickets will be issued through TicketMaster’s website starting on January 6.
As for the online sale itself, the tickets will start going on sale in January, with Disney confirming that the first day of sales will be Friday, December 14.
